Benefits
It is faster than previous methods of filling out and mailing paper forms. The seven-day window to send in statements has been increased to 15, as well.

Remember
Even if you choose PECOS, a two-page paper certification statement is still required.

There are several improvements to the process, using PECOS.

• You now get more time: The paper copies are due in 15 days, instead of seven after a change in provider, or enrollment is completed online.
• Reminder: After using the online system, a pop-up window prompts you to print and mail the documents.
• Your progress: A tracking bar will appear on the PECOS website, showing your progress in completing the process.
• Status: An application status module shows where the application is in the carrier’s process.
• Improved process: Instructions to sign up online are simpler than in the past. The process is more clear for following up on results, as well.
